The East Yorks are one of the longest serving British Infantry re-enactment groups in the UK. We attend living history events mainly in the north and the midlands areas. This year the veterans ate their dinner off the newly acquired regimental mess crockery. The main focus of the group is the north-west European campaign of 1944/45 whilst also having the ability to display The veterans took part in the parade and then the ceremony up at the Stand. Thanks must go to Tony Bryan for the ceremony and to his pals the HD pipe Band. In the evening we retired to the Moss Cottage for a good meal and good chat over a beer or two. The ceremony was short and to the point but very moving....
