While I don’t deny that adjusting the height once monitors are mounted on it isn’t painless, due to the lack of any kind of supporting spring, I’m perfectly able to adjust it up and down while it’s in the vertical position. Having used another triple stand before sending it back (for lacking this) I’ve come to really appreciate this part. The height, obviously, is fixed for all monitors but just about every other angle can be tweaked and adjusted on a per-monitor basis. Important only if it’s viewable from the back (and you care). Probably depends on how heavy the monitors are – I’m using 3 23′ AOC’s that weigh about 11 pounds each....
