I am researching my paternal line which is Espy. Anyone know if the Espy name is connected to a clan?
I could trace my line as far as George Espy born about 1623 in Midlothian, Scotland.George married Nancy Patton, born about 1627 in the same place.
Clan Donald Patton, a county was operating Antrium Donald at the time and they probably have settled for the assets of his clan. A Donnell still holds the title of county and is still located there.
