Which regiments were quartered near Ailly-le-haut-clocher (France Somme) during the first world war?

My grandmother was born in 1917 (July), so to be more precise: 1916 and before October (It is necessary to get to know)!

The 30th Division the 4 November the Division was inspected by Lord Derby, and started training two days later. The Division sailed to Le Havre and Boulogne and all units concentrated near Ailly Top Belltower (near Amiens) by November 12, 1915.

The jacket badge is an RAF aircrew badge. The N stands for navigator. Are you sure he did not serve in WWII even if it was a WWI poster? He may have transferred to the RAF but hung on to his army cap badge to show where he was from.

Today in history – The Battle of Mont St Quentin | Australian ...

As part of the Allied counteroffensives on the Western Front in the late summer of 1918, the Australian Corps crossed the Somme River on the night of August 31, and broke the German lines at Mont St Quentin and Péronne. The Allies were pursuing the Germans, and the greatest obstacle to crossing the Somme River in pursuit was Mont St. Quentin which, situated in a bend of the river, dominated the whole position. During the battle Australian troops stormed, seized and held the key height of Mont St Quentin (overlooking Péronne), a pivotal German defensive position on the line of the Somme. Mont St Quentin was only 100 metres high but was a key to the German defence of the Somme line, and the last German stronghold. The British Fourth Army’s commander, General Henry Rawlinson, described the Australian advances of August 31 – September 4 as the greatest military achievement of the war. Today is the 91st anniversary of the start of the Battle of Mont St Quentin. Its location made it an ideal observation point, and strategically, the hill’s defences guarded the north and western approaches to the town....
