How do I transport a range cooker?

My friend and I are buying a wide range of second hand, weighing about 150kg. We are renting a van to pick it up, but when you get home they need to get the truck, up five steps and through the front door.

There are special trolley Goin place measures, but not for these size items! You'd better make some big men. Remember to measure all the doors, etc. before purchasing to ensure it will fit in!

How can i use my ceramic plate on the range cooker?

I have a Rangemaster Cooker which consits of five gas burners and a large ceramic hot plate..
Can I cook food straight on this ceramic plate or is it for use with a pan?
Was thinking of putting fish straight on it but not sure if i can?

you need to use a pan otherwise it will make a terrible mess and be a pain to clear up!
