Oldham Signature 10" 50T Carbide saw blade - Woodworking Talk ...
, B&D took ownership of Oldham when they bought Pentair a few years ago, and I don't believe that Oldham signature series is still being marketed. Does anyone know a source for the "real" Oldham Signature Series blade. I have two Oldham Signature Series 10" 50T saw blades. The photo shows the correct blade but in both cases they ship an Oldham ProSeries blade of lower quality part number 1007150. I would like to purchase another and have ordered from two sites that offer the blade. Excellent blade for cross cutting and ripping. The second one was purchased about 3 years ago....
OLDHAM Signature Woodworking Comb./Table Saw Part No. 1007740T
The carbide is heavy enough to survive a few sharpenings, the blade holds its edge very good, and you can (with a properly tuned fence) rip a glue line joint without any jointing. I have run Forrest and Freud blades and while the Woodworker II does provide a little better cut, it is also over twice the price………without a supplied stiffener. The crosscut of this blade rivals a lot of the more expensive blades. This item is definitely worth the money in comparison to some of the others on the market. I have cut and ripped a lot of lumber, mostly pine and some oak, on this and haven’t had to re-sharpen the blade yet. 00, and you can reuse these on any saw blade you buy in the future. And look at the bright side, a good stiffener will cost you at least $20. I have purchased a couple of these blades and for the price, I was extremely surprised....
