Can anyone tell me where I can get a picture of Manchester Ship Canal?

There is a painting hanging in the Rovers in Corrie Manchester Ship Canal. Does anyone know where I could get one please?

Is it possible to walk along the Manchester Ship Canal all the way from Manchester to the sea?

Is there a footpath like the Thames path along the banks of the canal or do you have to use nearby roads?

If there is a path, where in Greater Manchester does it start?


There is no footpath that goes the entire length of the MSC you would have to go down local roads for quite a while. Start at Salford Quays and follow the canal to Eccles then its the A57 onwards. Mersey Ferries do a six hour cruise which I would sooner

HBJ take new Manchester office space following expansion

The company will move its operations from 3 Hardman Square to the newly-renovated Ship Canal House on King Street on 25th September. The new venture means the firms, which consist of lawyers, solicitors and partners,  will now be combined over 4 floors at Ship Canal House. Legal company HBJ Gately Wareing have announced plans to move to new office space in Manchester , following an expansion which saw them take on 200 new members of staff. The new building consists of 31,000 square feet of space and will play host to the firm and its 200 new members of staff, who were acquired following the folding of Halliwells....
