Abe Woody allowed four runs to the Birmingham Barons in the eighth inning as the Barons rallied past the Carolina Mudcats 5-4 on Tuesday night at Five County Stadium. However, with one out, Woody gave up four consecutive hits including back to back doubles as the Barons scored four times to take the lead, one they would not relinquish. Birmingham (25-33) answered with a single run in the top of the fourth as CJ Retherford singled Jim Gallagher home to pull the Barons to within three.
